IRON HATCHET is the Barbarian ode to vintage OVERDRIVE, drawing upon the classic 1970's Gray 250.
TOGGLE SWITCH = Full Frequency Range <-> Bass Cut (rolloff begins ~140Hz)
Perfect minimalist overdrive with true raw power. Excellent for all axes including bass guitar. Our version of the circuit is upgraded in key areas to BARBARIAN shop specs for crushing output, improved power filtering, and "heavy mojo" components. Perfect saturation via hybrid clipping section, including beautiful NOS black glass Russian D311 germanium diodes stacked with select silicon diodes.
BASS GUITAR version (available at checkout) changes the clipping diodes to LED's for more headroom/output, and removes the Bass Cut switch altogether, as it will not be needed.
