'81 MARSHALL JCM 800

First year 1981 JCM 800 4010 combo with horizontal inputs and factory Drake transformers.

Brand new Celestion G12-65 (8Ω) speaker, less than 1 hour of use and not even close to broken in yet!

I clipped one side of the 1nF bright cap at the volume control and installed heatshrink on the leg. It can very easily be soldered back into place to return to stock, but it has way too much treble like that honestly!

Freshly restored with new bias caps and Vishay resistors to convert to EL34's. Installed brand new JJ EL34-II Matched Pair on 9/29/2024, then biased at 65% dissipation. I will install three brand new JJ 12AX7's prior to shipping, also.

Original Daly canister caps left in place as they tested in Excellent condition for both capacitance & ESR, as these are known to last for ages. This thing absolutely rips using the High Input with the Preamp knob dimed.

Note: The factory AC filament wiring in the preamp is known to be a bit noisy, but I left it stock for now. It is possible to lower this background noise if you want your tech to address it for you.
